'Innocence'

this is my first attempt towards poetry. well its not like i was depressed or something, (coz thats wen most of the poets write their masterpieces and im no poet and this aint any masterpiece) it was jus that i was suppose to do some piece of art for a website under the topic innocence in poverty. this is jus an incident that i came across while travelling to my workplace one morning. as usual the morning chores and the routine traffic had already got me pissed off and jus this small thing happening on the roadside made brain-mills run.......

Holding a sack of cans and bottle,
there she stood
a petite, dusty - angel,
her honey-like eyes on the candy jar in the next shop,
“paanch rupayya Pacchas paisa,
paanch rupayya Pacchas paisa.”
She kept mumbling,
her eyes still on the candy jar
Suddenly, intervened by the rasp of the scrap-collector,
the sugar on the candy
then melted in her eyes,
A roar took place of a frail voice,
“paanch rupaye, khali paanch rupaye,
lena hai toh le…..”
melted sugar turned salty,
the cold coin turned icy,
she could only see the candy,
her lips kept saying ‘I am hungry’,
Untill the candy seemed rocky.
